Born in the NYC underground art scene of the early 1980s, Chandra Oppenheim was a child star like no other. Beginning at age 10, she released her Transportation EPs while backed up by an adult band featuring members of famed mutant disco groups The Dance and Model Citizens. Propelled by infectiously off-kilter grooves, Chandra’s songs explore the singular fascinations of a post-punk pre-teen.
